Banh Mi Cali is a no-frills, old-school counter on West Colonial Drive where the baguettes come out soft and crisp, filled with pate, pickled vegetables and cilantro. The grilled pork banh mi with a strong, sweet Vietnamese iced coffee is the regulars' order, and plenty make it a once a week habit. Service is brisk and to the point, and the sandwich does the talking.
