Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures runs airboats out onto East Lake Tohopekaliga from Southport Road, skimming open water then slowing into the marsh grass where captains spot gators, turtles and wading birds. Guests call it a highlight of their Florida vacation, and the night tours, with spotlights sweeping for glowing eyes, are the ones people talk about for years. Back on shore there is gem mining, a butterfly garden and a Native American village to wander.
