The Write-Up
TooJay's is a New York-style deli on Colonial Drive doing the classics since 1981: towering hot pastrami, a corned beef Reuben, cheese blintzes and matzo ball soup guests call the best in town. Portions run generous and service stays fast and friendly, right down to the Rachel 2.0 and the turkey avocado on challah. Leave room for the bakery case, where the coconut cake and the famous Killer Cake rarely let a table leave empty-handed.
District Story
A district named for its own crossroads, platted as front porches in 1883 and remade twice by the people who moved in.
