The Write-Up
Mohawk Smokehouse is a small-batch Longwood barbecue operation built on Texas-style brisket with Southern roots, run by Tyler Evans, who learned to cook beside his Italian grandmother, and his wife Sarah. The brisket carries serious bark, and the table fills out with pulled pork, mac and cheese, cornbread and shrimp and grits. It works as pop-ups, events and catering rather than a walk-in dining room, so the brisket hunt runs through its social channels.
