The Write-Up
Smokey Jay's is a mom-and-pop smokehouse on East Colonial where guests say you can taste the family-run care in every plate. The brisket comes tender and seasoned through, the ribs and pulled pork arrive in generous portions, and the Smoke House loaded fries pile the pit onto one plate. Mac and cheese, collard greens and candied yams round out the tray, with red velvet cake or pound cake waiting at the end.
