Tucked into the back of iFresh Market on East Colonial, Meng's Kitchen is a tiny, no-frills stall cooking Southeast Asian comfort food that guests say tastes like home. The Hainan chicken and rice combo leads, with crispy pork belly, charsiew barbecue pork, panang oxtail and five spice roasted chicken behind it. Seating is scarce, so most regulars treat it as the takeout gem it is.
