The full story

Lam's Garden is an old-school, family owned Cantonese room on East Colonial Drive that has served the corridor since 1975. Dim sum carts roll through while big round tables share plates family style off the lazy Susan: shrimp har gow, roast BBQ pork buns, tofu rolls and salt and pepper squid. Lunch specials pile on soup, fried rice and a crispy egg roll, and regulars say the pork buns live in their heads rent-free.
